Recipient of the Katy Jones memorial prize young composer award & a contemporary writing scholarship from Berklee College of Music, Francis has been writing music from the age of 6. He is composer, song writer, and the current Music Director at St Paul's Cathedral in Boston.

At the age of 12 he attained a place at Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester UK where he was classically trained as a pianist, organist and composer.  

Notable Experience

Recent commissions include 'Abby and Mickey's Dueling Trolley Tour' a comedic love story that played at the BackBay events center, downtown Boston for 20 dates this January & is now on Boston TV stations. He also music directed from the piano in the pit. 

As an artist he is releasing Magic Heart - a 13 track album of original music with co-writer Katrina King-Smith.  In April the album gained the attention of the placement department at B.M.I. in NYC and is currently being mastered. Dubbed as a modern day Steely Dan, or Tears For Fears the album has also received NPR FM airplay in MA and VA in the US.

He has worked with David Percefull at his studio, Yellowdog in Austin TX. David loved the compositions and believe in the album Magic Heart, and offered to mix it with Francis for free –this unprecedented level of gratitude led to intensive training at the studio mastering tips and tricks from a master in his field in both the analogue & digital domain. He is indebted to Dave for his kindness, and looks forward to working with him in the future.

Ben Blease of Plug In Productions Manchester UK is presently mentoring Francis and is mastering ‘Magic Heart’ for BMI. Ben works with Anif Akinola as a songwriter/ producer for their act Box Bottom – a highly successful advert for Vimto released by the duo reached over a million views on youtube within months of the advert running. Ben is also presently working with Warner Bro’s.

Francis’ music now appears in a boutique library aimed at notable TV and media organizations – Smart Media Music (NYC) deliver music to clients such as the BBC, HBO, NBC, ABC and is run by Simon Smart former chief composer for Channel 4 in the UK who personally oversees library submissions. Francis would like to thank Simon for his mentoring, advice, and attention to detail.

   As a producer and engineer he has worked at many recording studios, live venues and TV studios. Most notably Recording and mix engineering credits include Dave Liebman's premier sax concerto recorded for NPR at Paine Hall, Harvard, mixing the album 'Pro Mehanika' ft a top ten release titled 'Goodbye' by Feedback of Slovenia, and live broadcast at ACMI (Arlington Television MA). 

As an educator he has also lectured on audio engineering at the Zumix Music School in Boston and is an active audio consultant for venues and studios alike. He also teaches piano to selected students.
